That would be me, Heather. I'm not particularly hard to define, though I'm hard to pin down. I wear many hats, all of them stylish. I'm currently 26 years old, living, working, and studying in New York City. My journey into all natural living really started as a way to heal my skin. Severe skin allergies left me covered in splotches and forced me to look at making my own beauty and bath products. The results were better than I could have anticipated and I decided to share my new found happiness with the world. From there I started looking more into diet and food and how it would influence my skin. I started eating cleaner, less processed foods and have never really looked back.
I love to read, to write, to bake. To share banana chips with my bunny, Pepper. To kiss my boyfriend (who does all the web and graphic design for Athena's Arbor) and to smile at the little things in life.
Why Athena's Arbor?
Athena's Arbor is named for the goddess of wisdom and crafts herself. I've always felt connected to this grey-eyed goddess and when it came time to name my shop, it was obvious what it would be. Athena was the ancient Greek's deity of Wisdom, Crafts, and War. She was level headed and incredibly intelligent. The other gods looked to her for advice. She introduced many things into the word, most famously the olive tree, and was a central character in many myths.
